For those of you who appreciate the wealth of study that comes out of the Flock’s Diner website, you will be pleased to know that a scholar of the First Century Jewish world of Jesus will be adding some of her own wealth of knowledge to the site. Her name is Dr. Lois Tverberg.

Dr. Lois Tverberg is the editor of New Light on the Difficult Words of Jesus: Insights from His Jewish Context, by David Bivin. She is also the creator of En-Gedi Resource Center at www.engrc.net and Our Rabbi Jesus at www.ourrabbijesus.com; both focus on teaching about the Jewish world, culture, life, and teachings of Jesus.

In addition to her internet teaching sites, Dr. Tverberg is also the author of Listening to the Language of the Bible ,  

and her newest book, Sitting at the Feet of Rabbi Jesus ,

which comes out this month.

I know that you will truly appreciate the level of expertise that Dr. Tverberg will occasionally bring to Flock’s Diner, and I encourage you to leave challenging and appreciative comments for her response.

Hello everyone,

I want to let you know that I haven’t been able to upload any messages for the last couple of weeks, because my computer was very ill. My computer has been repaired, but the repairs caused me to lose the programs that I use to upload my weekly messages.

I should have everything rolling again by the end of this week.
